Love Hertz

Love Hertz explores the music that makes us. Hosts T-Bird and Shelley will take you on a random journey each week, meandering through genres, time zones and eras to explore music you remember, music you’ve forgotten and a healthy dose of music you’ve probably never heard. Expect home grown local artists alongside international acts, special guests and musical explorations.

Join us as we have weekly features including Life Soundtracks, where we ask our guests about the music that shaped them. If there was a film of your life what would be on the compilation soundtrack to help tell the story and set the scene? We will also be celebrating some of the best soundtracks to grace the silver screen in our Popcorn & Playlists segment.

Weekly guests will also be chatting about the power and magic of music in our everyday lives. Expect Sonic Tonics galore as we will share music to put a spring in your step. We’ll also be playing some soul for the soul, sunshine sounds – musical medicine.

The music is eclectic but connected; vintage alongside boxfresh. Tune in and drop out to the Love Hertz frequency.

This week: A nod to the changing of the seasons with Autumnal songs. We then welcome special guest Ryan Davis, who has directed a film called ‘The Black Country Cowboy’, a short documentary about Pete Boddis, a 78 year old country and western singer-songwriter from Stourbridge. As well as discussing his new film, we chat about Ryan’s Life Soundtracks and what led him to becoming a film maker.
